Cam Shaft Sensorgeez_its_bmw 08-11-2004, 07:32 PM 2000 323i Has anyone replaced one if so it it easy? shouldn`t cost more than 160.00 to replace it right? i hope my car runs fine but my service engine light came on every time that freakin light comes on i get crazy!!! got it checked out at autozone along with 4 other manfacture codes it couldn`t read any pics on how to replace the sensor thanks Antiburn 08-11-2004, 08:03 PM You need a 32mm wrench or a big ass adjustable. Other then that you wont be getting it out anytime soon. If you want it replaced go to the dealer. It should still be under warranty unless you have over 50k miles on it. geez_its_bmw 08-11-2004, 08:08 PM Out Of Warranty How Do I Know Which One It Is Is There Is A Intake And Exhaust Sensor? Antiburn 08-12-2004, 05:18 PM WHen you look at your motor follow the flat plastic piece where the oil cap is. Look at the front of the engine and its right below that. It looks like a silver pipe thats about 2 inches in diameter. You also have to take off a bunch of other stuff which takes tools that regular people dont have. There is a air flow meter which alows only so much air into the car. There is a 02 sensor before the cat and on the header. jeffreyb4me 08-12-2004, 10:56 PM question: what code[s] did 'auto zone' manage to pull ? Before you start replacing parts. odeboard 01-07-2005, 03:28 PM Just change mine on the intake side. Not a big deal and you can order it at autobahnmotorcars.com. 86 bucks. and its the same price for the exhaust side, however it is a differant sensor. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
