325E vs 325crazy cajun 08-11-2004, 11:00 AM I seem to find a lot of parts for a 325E but doe’s not show the 325 what is the different if any. jbutton 08-11-2004, 10:07 PM The 325e is 2.7L and the 325 is 2.5L. The e stands for eta which is is a low reving high torque motor. I believe the 325 is much more similar to the 325i. jeffreyb4me 08-11-2004, 10:25 PM also note that except for some common externals, the engine parts are NOT interchangable........... crazy cajun 08-12-2004, 09:12 AM But the title and car show to have a 2.7l engine and only says 325 model#32E thats what i cant understand jeffreyb4me 08-12-2004, 10:50 PM ok, try this way no matter what anything else sez. If the idle valve is above the valve cover and the cold start valve bolts to the little housing above the center of the valve cover, you have an 'e' motor [ 2.7 liter M20, DME 1.0].......Idle valve in the intake boot & NO cold start valve, you have an 'i' motor [ 2.5 liter M20, DME 1.1> ]. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
