98 Blazer GM Oil Cooler Lines won't fit?

I picked up part #15194578 (front oil cooler lines) for my 98 Blazer and gave them to the mechanic to install. Now they're telling me that they won't fit, there's not enough space between the airbox and the radiator.

Has anyone replaced these cooler lines with the GM part 15194578? Did they fit without modification? Is there anything special I need to do to get them installed?

Just a thought but there may be more than 1 style for that year? My 94 has 2 different styles for the oil cooler lines so I have to make sure I specify which one's I need before buying(has to do with length).
