Hello to all. I have recently purchased a 2003 Gran Am GT. I have been driving it for abouta month with no problems as of yet. I was wondering if anyone has had problems with their 2003 GT's or if anyone knows of any problems. I would greatly appreciate any advive, knowledge or general comments, this way I can expect the worst or simply anticipate any up coming problems.

Thank you in advance.

Depends on what style you have. I have the SC/T version. First 2-3 weeks I had it, the cruise control chip burnt out. Then later, the little regulator for my drivers side window broke in half. I am now starting to notice that when I park my car out in full sun, the sun roof doesn't work. When it cools down in shade, it works, but I have to restart the car. Im going to have the dealer check into that. This car was bought new, in Decemeber 2002, so there shouldn't be as many problems like this as there should be. Other than that, I love this car. Just keep it cared for like you would a baby and you shouldn't have any problems.

Owning a pontiac requires alot of preventative maintenance. take good care of it and you shouldnt have any problems at all. my buddy has a 2000 gt, bought it new and really hasnt had any major problems at all with it.

2001 GAGT1 64k miles, only problem was hazard ligts/blinker relay which was serviced under recall (fixed in 2003 modles); no other problems; just standard service (brake pads, accessory belt, oil); the car just plain old works like it's supposed to.

I too had the sunroof problem on my 2000 Grand Am GT, with 56,000 miles. I noticed, as previously stated, it seemed to not work when the car was sitting directly in the sun. One day however, I looked on the passenger side fuse panel, and noticed that the fuse for the sunroof was very loosely sitting in the terminal. I slightly twisted/bent the two halves of the fuse to make the fit a little bit more snug. It seems to have fixed my problem, as far as I know.

it doesnt matter waht kind it is, sc/t, gt or se v6. if it goes out it goes out. on my 03 @ 15k miles my intake gasket went out. then, @ 21k miles it went out again, and now 22k my injector went out. stuff happens, thats why we have mechanics and warranties....

Hi there...
If it has the Quad4 then watch the insulators on the spark plugs. Found that to cause a slight hesitation or stumble. Wouldn't hurt to lube sliders for automatic windows as they like to cause problems too.
