Usually if you rip your timming belt then your valves go down at the wrong time and the piston bends them. Then your car runs horribly or doesnt run at all is the more likely case. And BMW's dont have timing belts, they have timing chains. Do you mean you riped your water pump belt? Which runs just about everything in the car.

While your car is running and its hot its comming out of the cap? Then you need a new cap. Is your car overheating and you cant find the leak? The belt might of ripped a coolant hose and made a small slash. With all the pressure in the coolant system it just sprays out and you cant see it while there isnt any pressure.
