please give ideas

trying to get ideas on this, this is like the third post. my metro surges. it does it when i am accelerating and let off throttle, then picking throttle back up. if i just accelerate normal up to speed limit and rest foot on pedal it's fine. only when i let off and then also when i pick it back up. any ideas? idles okay and does it at any tempereature. TPS doesn't need adjusted. has been fully tuned up.

Work with us Ford Guy! What year? 1 liter? I hear that the emmissions stuff can cause a 'hunt' where the engine revs or surges to 1200 RPM then back to idle. Mostly TPS and ECM would be related to an issue like this "only my opinion though"

Does your car have an IAC solenoid on it? if so, unplug it, and see if the surging calms down.
