440 hemicuda engineNavyFord18 08-09-2004, 12:00 AM I was wondering, is it possible to covert a 440 hemicuda engine from a carb to fuel injection and how would you do it? thanx Sluttypatton 08-09-2004, 07:40 PM It is possible to convert any engine to fuel injection given you have the time and the money. I would think that the easiest way to do this would be to install standalone engine management and all of the necessary parts to support fuel injection. Then you would have to program your own fuel and ignition maps, and whatever else your particular standalone system requires. I have not personally done this. The hemi engines in the 'Cuda were all 426 cid. Otherwise the above post is correct. Holley makes a terrific stand alone system called 'ProJection' which is specifically designed for this kind of conversion and has everything you need.
