Recently got a great lookin' 92 325i. Thinking of replacing the compressor as the A/C is touch and go. Firestone quoted me about $900 for the job for parts and labor so I am thinking of buying the part online myself and taking it to a mechanic. What kind of compressor do I buy and how much do they usually go for?

Thanks. Would you guys trust a remanufactured compressor bought off ebay? It's selling for 275. The seller specializes in A/C and has a very high approval rating , like 99%.

see if he offers a warranty, remanufactued parts, you never know, with warranty i would buy.
