2002 Chevy Blazer won't start

Yesterday, we locked our 2002 Chevy 4WD blazer with the keyless entry as we have done several times in the past. The Blazer beeped twice so we know it was locked and all doors/rear doors were shut. This morning, we couldn't open it by the keyless entry. When I got inside the vehicle, I realized the power locks didn't work well either. The blazer wouldn't start, the headlights and interior lamps weren't on either. We checked the fuses on the inside panel inside the vehicle and all seem to be OK. We tried jumping it and it wouldn't hold a charge. When we put a newer battery in, it started and ran fine until we put it drive, which is when it would "bog down" when we hit the gas and wouldn't run. The red battery post seems to be getting power when the battery is out. Any idea what could have happened? :banghead:

I'd change the battery cables. I really dunno.

Thanks for the advise. They had to replace the battery-they said it had a bad cell in it. We called around to local garages/GM approved centers and they both said something else seems as if it's draining the battery, so we'll see. We did leave it at the dealership last night after they fixed it to be SURE the battery held the charge and this morning, it started right up. For piece of mind, they put a voltage meter on the battery and tested the alternator. Both were fine. I'll keep you updated if anything changes lol :grinno:
