My 96 Ford Tarus is not starting. I turned it off for maybe ten to twenty minutes after getting home and having new tires put on it and it wouldn't turn over. At first it made a single click when I turned the key but then later on that same day it wouldn't even do that. All the warning lights will go on when started then go off except the oil, battery, and check engine lights. The radio and windows all still work and everything. The next day we hooked a jumper box on the thing but that didn't do anything but the click is back. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appriciated

check for a loose or corroded connection on the pos. battery cable end at the starter - also give a light tug to make sure the cable is secure in the cable end - if all is good have somebody hold the key in the start position and tap the starter with a light hammer - sometimes it works
