brake lock up!!

Hi, i was wondering if anybody else had a problem like this one or even if someone could help with a solution...
I have a 2001 2 Dr Blazer 2wd and i recently changed the pads and rotors(which were in very bad condition for their age). Not to long after the change i began to experience brake lock ups. i would just be driving down the road and suddenly it was as if my brakes were being applied. It would start shaking bad(I guess from warping the rotors) and i would pull over, pump the brakes a few times, shut if off, turn it back on after a few mins and everything would be fine. It seems like it happens every other day. when they lock up the brake pedal gets very stiff and is almost unable to press down. any suggestions???

did you bleed your system?

yes we had to when we replaced the pads and rotors... then we did it again to see if it would solve the problem. No luck though
