Has anyone ever experienced an electrical problem where the Left tail light goes out when the brakes are applied and the head lights are on? I've changed the bulb...no luck! Any thoughts?

check the other bulbs for the park lites etc. and the highmount brake lite bulbs.

sometimes when a bulb burns out there is a kind of feed back voltage where 12v is applied to both sides of the bulb and causes it to not lite. alternating signal lites on the corners of the vehicle are planned examples of this but unplanned happenings can puzzle the heck out of you.

PS - let us know what you find. these odd problems should be archived or something so we can refer back to them.

I have the same exact problem with the left brake/tail light turning off when brakes are applied while the lights are on, in any mode. Have you fixed this yet? And the brake lights work when the car does not have its lights on. weird, eh? -trav

the problem I have is that when the brakes are applied, both turn signals also light up. When I use left turn signal, the message board inside car says turn signal problem. I've checked all bulbs and fuses. Any ideas?

Here's the deal...I found out that this is a known problem. The only way to fix it is to replace the tail light assembly. OEM part is about $165.00. You can get after market parts for about $60-65. I just received mine and installed the new assembly. Works as advertised. Hope this helps.
