Would i be able to use the clutch from my b18a that is in my accord now on the b18c tranny? or wont it fit? thanks in advance. VTEC_boi 02-02-2002, 10:47 PM B18A in a Accord? diegoaccord 02-03-2002, 12:08 PM there is a jdm b18a and b20a for the 3rd gen accord with 130 and 160 ps respectively, dont believe it go to honda japan website under history VTEC_boi 02-03-2002, 02:12 PM Originally posted by diegoaccord there is a jdm b18a and b20a for the 3rd gen accord with 130 and 160 ps respectively, dont believe it go to honda japan website under history Ahh...i c I've just never heard of a 1.8L Accord 90CRXZCSi 02-03-2002, 03:22 PM The only motor i would put in a accord is the prelude(H22) Moppie 02-03-2002, 09:49 PM Thats a tricky one. Im going to say no. But not because I dont think it will fit, but because I dont think it will have the same clamping pressure or surface material as the B18c Clutch, and so might not be up to the job. However a quick trip to Honda or Autostop/BNT (dont even think about going to repco or appco etc, thier still mostly filled with ignorant fools) will tell you if the part numbers are the same, or if they are radicly differnt. If your in Auckland then go see Tim at the Honda Serivce center in East Tamaki (Genuine Honda clutchs are cheaper by the way than any of the aftermarket ones. its one of those odd things.) 3gkiwi 02-03-2002, 10:35 PM cheers moppie luckily for me i dont live in auckland, but do you know any shops in chch? i was thinking strong bro's honda but ive heard dodgy things about them... wees87lx 04-01-2002, 11:45 PM H22A in a 3rd Gen Accord has already been done...and so has the b16a check out the 86-89 accord section under engine swaps :o Moppie 04-02-2002, 01:56 AM Originally posted by 3gkiwi i was thinking strong bro's honda but ive heard dodgy things about them... Well, I had heard the same thing, then I started dealing with them They have improved a hell of a lot, and are now a very easy to deal with buch of people. They happily let me forage around the yard, and even do free delivery and pick of cars and parts for a mechanic I sort of work for. \ But thier like all wreckers, give them shit and they give it back, be nice to them and they will look after you. But since your in Ch CH why dont you try Honda? Their new clutch prices are better than anywhere else, and they are deffintly very helpful here in Auckland with tricky things like parts for swaps etc. If they give you any trouble down there try a phone call to Auck (0800 number) and tell them whats happening. they make a deal about good service, and im pretty sure would sort things out. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
