I have a 94 gt with a 3.1 v6 w/55k miles on it. When i am driving at any speed and slam on the brakes abruptly the car doesnt seem to gear down properly and takes a few seconds to go back into gear after i let off the brake. also it seems to slip out of gear occasionally when i am turning left (only left not right??) i am very confused! Has anybody else experienced a problem like this with a 94 - 98 3.1. Also, does anybody know if this IS a transmission problem or is it possible it may be something else? thanks for any help!

I never had the problem of slamming on the brakes and having the trans act up, but I did have occasional slipping of the tranmission. Changed the transmission fluid/filter and haven't had the problem since. It's a 94 GA.
