It's not restrictive. I have heard people having good luck with flowmasters.

But my exhuast is staying stock until it reaches the junkyard, I like silence.

ok thx.. i want to keep it sounding as quiet as stock as possible (maybe a TINY bit of growl under hard acceleration)

there are a bunch of kits on their website..how do i know which one to choose? exhaust back?, headers back?, just muffler? i want to get as much performacne as i can get for the $

The exaust system on the town cars are very restictive and the major cause is the poorly constucted exaust manifold.also the pipes going from the manifold to the muffler are the same size as the 1.9liter escort.GET SOME HEADERS AND A FLOWMASTER 200$ package =easy horsepower

I ran duals off of my 1981 Mark VI. It had converters, so I ran pipes and glass packs. It sounded great and the converters kept it from being loud. Get a dual exhaust system. It's the only way to roll.

Guess they made 'em different back then !!

Mine are 3" from the air filter to the rear bumper.
