Help

The other day my mom's lincoln 1988 towncar wouldn't start. I bought a new battery and it crancked right up. The car was driven home but the next day it wouldn't start. It seems the new battery was already dead. I put back her old battery and I tried starting it and while there was some juice the starter was making a funny noise. Needless to say, I disconnected the batter from the leads (im assuming something is draining the battery) But with the starter making funny noises I'm starting to think its the starter. Also in the past sometimes the head lights would dim or completely go off and come back on again....any suggestions?

Sounds like your alternator is not charging the battery.

And if your starter is making noises then it is time for a replacement.
