Best wheel Size for 350z?Mr.350Z 08-04-2004, 03:10 AM well...what would be the best performance wheel size for the 350z? a friend told me 19 inch are best, but another friend says 18 inch. i was thinking of getting 19 inch volk light weights but again im trying to figure out what does best (using light weights)...can anyone help me out on this debate? - Thanks 350G 08-07-2004, 05:16 PM In general, the 18" seems great for performance, but I use the 19" for show. I have Volk TE37s with 10.5" rears that provide excellent grip. 19" tires though are pretty expensive!!! nonstopmotorsports 08-08-2004, 03:03 PM 19" would look more aggressive but ride comfort might suffer abit on bad roads. If you go with 19's try to get a lightweight wheel like something from Volk Racing. EvoCrazy 08-21-2004, 06:06 PM I would go with the 18s. I'm not a fan of the big rims thing. otter7467 08-23-2004, 09:19 PM I got 18's on my Z. I think 19's make it look less like a sports car and more like a show car. Whatever floats your boat though. I would go to a NOPI or a Sema show and look at other ppls to see what you think fits you best. 19's do ride alot harder though. Mr.350Z 08-24-2004, 03:44 AM Ok thanks for all the input guys. if you guys say that the ride gets hard whith 19s ill just go with 18s...dont wanna sacrifice the comfortability for style, just not worth it. Thanks - Ryan lowtempo 08-24-2004, 11:18 AM no doubt. DUBs look the best . 19's and a small drop looks good too. k3smostwanted 08-24-2004, 11:43 AM dude...no 20's on a sports car that is going to be driven. 20's are for those z's with body kits and they are taken to shows. Thanks - Ryan I have 19" Volk Racing SF Challenges with Toyo Proxes T1S tires. My Z does not ride bad at all. More important would be quality of the mounting and balancing of the tires to overall comfort. Must use a Hunter GSP9700 with Roadforce and keep the total vibration to 15 pounds or less. I am currently Regional Champion in my class in SCCA, and I have raced some of my points events with the 19's. But I will agree that the choice of wheel would be important. No chromies that big. And go wide rim to have more of an air pocket inside the assembly. Shawn @ Street Sports CaTasHtRoPhE 67 08-27-2004, 12:31 AM 18s for performence or 19 for looks if your not racing it thin get 19s k3smostwanted 08-27-2004, 12:52 AM street sports....my buddy really wants to get the same wheels you have. the volk challenges. how much did you pay for those and what width's did you end up getting? he has some 18" ADR's on there now but he doesnt like it anymore. I have 19x8.5 on the front and 19x9.5 on the rear. You can put wider on the rear with some of the wheels, but the tire sidewall stretches funny. We have here at the shop the car belonging to 350G (earlier in this thread) with the 10.5" TE37's. I will try to get a couple of shots of his wheels so you can see for yourself. If your friend wants a set of any Volk wheels, just let me know which ones, as we are a national distributor for Volk Racing wheels. We can shop wheels alone, or with tires.
