Outside Temperature Sensor

I have a 1999 Blazer and my outdoor temperature sensor is not woking properly. Anytime the temp is more than 85 or 86, I get the OC error.

I was going to try and locate it and maybe clean it off or see about replacing it. Does anyone know where this thing is located?

Maybe i'm just being anal, but this has been driving me nuts for over a year.

the temp sensor is located on the radiator core support. It should have a light green/black wire and a black wirre coming form it. The easiest way (without removing the grill, etc) to get at it is to reach up underneath the front bumper and grill and it is directly in the middle of the grill in front of your radiator. Be careful not to burn yourself! Do this before starting your car.

The "OC" literally means open circuit. The overhead console dispolays this as a self diagnosis. Your temp sensor is probably bad (about 20 bucks) -however- you could also possibly have a bad temp sensor ground.
