yeah its a silver/blue leather TII. It wont be running until winter/spring. I'm using the engine from it as a loaner for the rx-3 until winter when I can build a ported engine. Price? Probably more than you would want to spend. We have an extremly good rep around town for our rx-7's so people will pay top dollar for them.

so y do ppl only tell me about cars i cant get... :sly: or some (not anyone here) expect tons of money for bad cars, ie blown engines. apparently some ppl think a few mods multiply the value of the car 3 or 4 times.

a full TII swap into a non-turbo car will require the turbo engine, tranny, and rear end... labor will be around 1200-1500 bucks.... parts could vary a lot... I'd say a grand though

and ive been checking the classifieds twice daily on about 4 diff forums have replied to a few, no luck yet. so if anyone has one or knows of a good one i may have missed let me know. also i have a few questions in a seperate thread, if anyone wouldnt mind taking a look. any help at all is much appreciated.

just try to find a clean S5 n/a or a T2 you will like at a fair price, its hard to find a good car for a fair price. btw, why would you want a 90' GTU? you seem very selective and those GTU are the base model

i am one picky bastard, but i like the gtu. aside from the turbo its almost a tII, i think i read some even have the t2 tranny so that would make a future engine switcharoo much easier. biggest reason is base model=not a lot of options. i dont want a/c or power windows or anything like that.
and some could be good news, i may have found a gtu with a jspec tII motor...im getting on my knees praying i can come up with the money.
if anyone knows the one im talking about dont buy it!! hahaha

the tranny isnt too bad to do...anyway, how much is yours then? i wont pay 3k for it, thats for sure.

I wouldn't expect you or anyone else online to buy it because of the cheaper prices you can get in other areas... but locally it shouldn't be too hard to sell... I've had 2 people ask me about it already acctually and its still wrecked :)

it just bent up the fender and tore out the area of the front bumper that the blinker and ftp lense are located... basically I have to put on a new bumper, fender, and the little bolt in bar that protects the headlight assembly and it will be as good as new(or better because it had messed up paint on the front bumper but the new one will have fresh paint)

and can get you pics if you really want them

man, he jacked the price up now. and it looks like aside from that even if it drops back to 3k i probably still cant get it unless the rx-7 fairy leaves me a grand under my pillow. soyo u should give me a good deal on ur 91 if u can, which i know u can, but u really should. u got the only other good running, not 10billion miles away 7.

yes rust is a concern, but theres still some rustfree body driving arround.
see, we CANT drive those cars in the winter cuz sometimes, its barely driveable in the snow with a 4x4 jeep, and they put salt on the roads too. + theres alot of dumb womans or drunk ppl driving arround, theres much more smashs in snowstorms and on icy highways.
