Stromung cat-back for Spec-V'sSentra Styling 02-02-2002, 07:24 AM Just figured I'd let you guys know that Stromung has released thier full cat-back system for the Spec-V's....But you can check out thier qualty at www.stromung.com and you can call them up directly if you have any questions what so ever...thier number is 714-596-2237 and ask for Scott.... But let me tell you a little bit about thier exhaust from experience,I have thier full cat-back on my 2000 SE.... The sound is increadible,it is a nice deep throaty sound veres those High pitched fart can type sounding ones...... And the build quality is also nothing to be dissappointed about considering it is made from stainless steel..Both the mide-pipe and the can itself. It's mide-pipe is all Mandrel bent and it's 2.25 inch pipping going to th can which has dual 3 inch tips at the end for a nice look..And the entire system is a complete bolt on so which in turn means it's really easy to put on...It took me all of 20 minutes to put my system on...Although I do recommend that you have a friend help you out cause the muffler can get pretty heavy trying to hold it yourself while bolting it up....The price of the system will be around $550 bucks..Which is a decent price for the quality of the system and conidering that it is truley a bolt-on..which will save you money at the muffler shop...... ser3100 02-06-2002, 01:19 AM HEY STYLIN, HOW DOES THE STROHMUNG SOUND? I DONT WANT SOMETHING TOO LOUD. I JUST WANT A MELLOW TONE THAT ONLY GETS LOUD WHEN YOU REALLY PUSH IT. I HATE CRUISING AND YOU CANT EVEN ENJOY YOUR OWN MUSIC CAUSE THE EXHAUST IS TOO DAMN LOUD. Sentra Styling 02-06-2002, 10:26 AM The sound is sweet...It has a really low and deep growl to it,,but when you stuff it,it growls nicely......But you'll deffinetly get to enjoy your music.....I personally love the sound and I've had mine on my car for about a year now..... babyskyline 02-06-2002, 03:09 PM Sup Stylin, babyskyline here. Gotta question on the Stromung site. Everytime I visit the site I never see anything about Sentra, all I see is Suburu, Order form, and something else. Where do you go on the site to see about Sentra? Late,:alien: spec_v_2002 02-06-2002, 08:54 PM Yeah i had the same probllem babyskyline. Anyways Stylin would you happen to know off the top of your head what is in the can, cause i have heard you can actually have negative affects from different cans. Also i read that the spec v gets the extra ten (165-175) from the tuned exhaust do you think this will mess it up in anyway? Sentra Styling 02-07-2002, 11:21 AM The site was never updated so that's why they have no information on the Sentras....But as far as what the internals consist of I have no idea.....But you can call up Stromung(numbers on the site ad talk to a guy named Scott,,nice guy,and He's actually glad to see the Spec-Vers want in on his exhaust.....He does alo of work for the Scooby guys like you can see from the site and I've also talked to a few Subaru guys prior to getting mine and they all gave me a good word about the comapny.....But a few guys have dyno'd thier cars after putting the Stromung cat-back on thier cars and the gains was pretty decent.... But also to add I believe th pics of the Stromung you see on the site is not correct,,,,the cans you will be getting will be polished aluminum and they have the Stromung logo stamped into the tips, and if I'm not mistaken Scott can do either a single or dual tips...I opted for the dual tips to remain semi-stock(looking).....but the tips are dual 3inch..... How about a photo? :D Sentra Styling 02-07-2002, 05:06 PM Originally posted by SentraFi How about a photo? :D You ask and I deliever....and it just so happens the photo feature's a red Spec-V;) http://www.geocities.com/b15sentra/stromung.html Sentra Styling 02-07-2002, 05:22 PM Here's another page with some good information on the Stromung,,,,This is an artical written up on www.Sentra.net new performance based online publication....But my friend Marc that I hang out with and one of the writters of that publication Mike Young got the Stromung produced for the B14's.....But I believe it shows a picture of the single tip incase anyone is interested in buying the single one....But also read the artical it's very interesting and informative... http://www.sentra.net/npm/february02/products.shtml SentraFi 02-07-2002, 05:50 PM Originally posted by Sentra Styling You ask and I deliever....and it just so happens the photo feature's a red Spec-V;) http://www.geocities.com/b15sentra/stromung.html Thanks! They look nice. I was wondering though if it was possible to hide the tips. I always liked how the new BMW 5 series do not have exhaust tips showing. I think they are curved down or something. Makes the rear look more clean. spec_v_2002 02-07-2002, 11:04 PM There is a link from the page with the exhaust on it to this cols air intake, any information about that yet?http://www.geocities.com/rodsspecv/cai.html THX Sentra Styling 02-08-2002, 10:00 AM Originally posted by spec_v_2002 There is a link from the page with the exhaust on it to this cols air intake, any information about that yet?http://www.geocities.com/rodsspecv/cai.html THX That particular CAI was actually a prototype that the guy had this company make which is now sellin I believe...... But www.placeracing.com also has a CAI out which I would trust more than the other one...I actually also have a Plae Racing CAI in my car.....But the intake isn't listed on the site as of yet but you can give them a call or e-mail to get some pricing and info on the intake.....But the price should be right around the $200 range ad includes a real K&N filter..... spec_v_2002 02-08-2002, 10:14 AM cool thanks Stylin, ill look into it.
