Dome lights flashing and door bell dinging

I have a Venture 2000 which started last Friday to do the two following things after we pulled in the driveway coming back from a 3,700 miles trip to the west coast.

When I opened the drivers door the reminder bell would go off even that no lights were on and the keys weren't on neither. If I put the keys back on or shouted the door it would stop.

After I shouted the door and the lights dimmed they went crazy and started to flash by themselves.

I adjusted the dimmer switch and everything seemed to go back to normal. I asked a friend and he told me that I might have an electrical problem.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Im having the same problem with the dinging, its strange, it just started yesterday and does the same thing, as soon as I open the driver side door and the keys are out it dings like crazy. Also for some reason at the same time my passanger side slinding door is having problems shutting and when I try and open it again I have to open it from the inside and it pops open. Any suggestions??
