96 bucking rodeo!kaate_22 08-01-2004, 11:38 PM I have a 1996 rodeo that has lost power. It shakes (bucks) mostly from 1st to 3rd gear. It's a 5 speed. When it isn't bucking there's very little power. I'm talking about barely making 30 in a 65mph! I replaced the mass air sensor but didn't help. Fuel injectors and filter are new. I'm thinking it might be the fuel pump....please help! P.S. the volts are going crazy and it's idling up and down. Thanks! Kate amigo-2k 08-02-2004, 12:15 AM Sounds like it could be a bad battery or is is weak or your alt is on the way out. Isuzu's with weak batteries and/or alt do strange things. -Ryan kaate_22 08-02-2004, 07:40 AM Sounds like it could be a bad battery or is is weak or your alt is on the way out. Thanks! kate danforth45 08-02-2004, 09:37 PM may be your o2 senser, just a thought, good luck! xxcrowleyxx 08-10-2004, 07:22 PM it may also be water in the gas tank.. try some dry gass or water remover from strauss or auto zone mberard 10-21-2004, 04:05 PM this guy explains this same problem and how he fixed it check out this link. http://www.misterfixit.com/izuzzu.htm 2eyefishclaw 10-21-2004, 04:59 PM get the charging sys. tested 95.5 Rodeo 10-22-2004, 12:18 AM this guy explains this same problem and how he fixed it check out this link. http://www.misterfixit.com/izuzzu.htm I read that a few years ago, great story. I agree with the other posters, check the charging system first. Dale witherer 10-22-2004, 02:59 PM I had a similar problem, it was my alternator. Check to see if there is a recall on that for your year (www.recall.gov). vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
