Frustrated and hot....literally

Problem #1: Air-conditioning. When you start the vehicle. The air-conditioner display reads ER (which is not slang for air, it must mean heater :) ) Before refilling freon, the compressor came on every few seconds briefly. Blowing air in the vehicle a little cooler than the outside air. Okay, got a freon/leak sealer all-in-one deal. Did not correct the ER reading nor did it produce cold air.

Problem #2: Vehicle sputters as if out of gas while driving, occasionally. If I floor it, it quits running completely. If I ease on the gas, it returns eventually to normal running. Purchased new fuel filter today. Will see what that does.

Problem #3: Perform service light. Need to know how to get that reading off the display. I tried the link provided in another thread, but was unable to get there. Also, tried instructions further down in that thread, but I must be challenged... C/T? I started pushing the select and set buttons to the point I made it mad. Now, instead of being only briefly, it remains on constantly! sigh...

Problem #4: Left passenger side electric window. If you get it started (down) at the driver's control panel on the door, the window has normal operating powers. Has to have the jump start from the driver panel though.

Problem #5: Bought the Jeep from someone. There is a Trim Line with a blue-handled valve toward the firewall, to the left of center engine, at surface. What the heck is it, what is it for?

Believe it or not, I am done. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Dealership said it would cost $150.00 just to look at the A/C and fuel problem....

I read as many threads as I could...and gave up. Thank you in advance.
