H23 into 97 Civic HB Dx.grumblemarc 07-31-2004, 04:47 PM Picked up a 97 Civic DX HB. I also own a 92 Prelude SI. The Lude is in pretty fair shape body wise and I estimate it will caost upwards of $3k to get it back into stock condition. So I thought that instead of wasting that money trying to ressurect it I'd strip the hell out of it and transplant everything I could into the Civic. Since I have all the parts on hand I guess my question would be "What else do I need to get this swap happening?". I heard of needing the springs off a 'Teg to offset the weight difference of the engine and some adapters to be able to keep the AC and PS. Will I need to run with different (modified) axles? If not how will the Civic's suspension mate to the Lude's axles? Idon't think Can I also transplant the Lude's radiator for better cooling? I'm sure I will have more questions but that's it for right now. Any advice anyone can give would be much appreciated. grumblemarc 07-31-2004, 04:58 PM Oh yeah. Before anyone flames me for not doing any research, I have. I am looking for a more complete guide rather than guidelines to help me out. Thanks. CivicSpoon 07-31-2004, 05:53 PM Some info here: http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=434668 You'll need these mounts (or from www.hcpengineering.com (http://www.hcpengineering.com)): http://hasport.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=36 More info here (wiring part at top does not pertain to you look a little lower in the thread): http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=650329 grumblemarc 07-31-2004, 06:03 PM Thanks. I forgot I was a forum member of Honda-Tech. The information on the axles helped a lot. More to put on my shopping list. CivicSpoon 07-31-2004, 06:05 PM Make sure you get the rear tranny prelude bracket too, or it won't line up right. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
