96 Monte Carlo LS Misfirezeroboarder 07-31-2004, 12:10 AM my LS keeps misfiring and i cant figure out why. i got a diagnostic at autozone. First they said it was a bad fuel injector $70. then it still misfired and i got this regulator thing on the air filter (forgot what its called) that costed $120. and it is STILL misfiring. has anyone else had this problem and can tell me what it could be? mbrdmyr 12-15-2004, 01:17 AM I recently had this problem and AutoZone had me put in a new PCV valve,EGR valve, i replaced all sparkplugs, wires, and the front O2 censor, then come to find out my misfire problem was a vacuum leak... There is a grommet that is on the top right side, connected to the line that is connected to the PCV valve, well this grommet was completely gone! we were working on this on Sunday so we had to fix it up with some rubber hose we had for the lawn mowers and some gasket goop stuff ( ya know that makes the gaskets ). That was my problem, then anyway, now i have come to realize from reading this forum, that my turn switch is out, so now I have to figure out how to replace this, i do not want to pay a electrician to do this if i can do it myself. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
