Hello, I'm new to this forum and a new rotary owner. I have a '86 FC and a dilemma. I'm thinking of getting into either drifting or autocross, but i'm not sure what powerplant to use. Right now i have the stock 13b with over 225k miles so I will be either doing a swap to a low kilometer JDM 13b-t or an engine rebuild. I really like the reliability of the N/A 13b, but i'm afraid that it will be hard to get more power out of it. Well, just curious of what u all think, I'm open to suggestions

Yea, if you want more power..go TII. But if you wanna spend yur money(and lotz of it) and time just to make a monster non Turbo FC..by all means, go righhhtt on ahead, my friend!

Well, I don't plan on making anything that could be considered a monster. My goal for the moment is only 250hp. If i go for NA i'd rather spend money gaining power or working of brakes/suspension than paying for blown and/or malfunctioning turbo parts. Anyway, does any one know of any manufacturers who make parts for the NA FC, besides Racing Beat?

250 is high for an n/a
would be cheaper and more reliable to go turbo.

you could get 225 for a NA with a large street port and the correct mods and it would still be a good driver and reliable... a TII with a full exhaust (downpipe, high flow cat, exhaust) and an intake could probably make 250hp... at the flywheel that is

Alright, thanks. I've been doing more reasearch and I guess I didn't realize how tough it is to get power out of my N/A rotary. If I had more money perhaps I'd keep it N/A...... but lately Turbo is looking really good.
