RARE 1988 bmw 635RARE 1988 BMW 635 Csi. This is one of the BEST Coupes ever made by BMW. It Silver w/ a 3.5L In-line 6 Cylinder Motor with 218HP, the engine is in perfect working condition. It is a good daily driver with only 125k original miles. The automatic transmission in this vehicle still shifts like it did when it was brand new (the transmission has been replaced early on (over $2K) in the cars life and it also received a major inspection about 50K miles ago (another $1200) so if you are worried about an automatic transmission then there should be no issues. It is silver on gray leather. The interior is in good shape, a couple of loose stitches but no tears. It has a new alternator, voltage regulator, battery, spark plugs, fog lights. There are maintenance records going back to 1989 when the car was sold new. There are well over $5,000 in receipts of major work preformed on the car by previous owners including water pump, brakes front and rear. The front end was rebuilt at 77K miles by Weatherford BMW in Berkeley (I have the receipts $3K). This car has been well cared for and maintained of the years. Mechanically the car is extremely sound. I have installed in-dash cd player, but I still have the original radio with the lock out code and cassette cleaner, it is loaded with almost every option, leather interior, dual power seats, power head rests, rear sun screen, rear center console with air and beverage cooler, Euro turn signals, H-4 head lights (super white), 4 wheel ABS, SRS (driver side air bag), power sun roof, power mirrors, power windows, ower door locks, cruise control, original alloys, Good tires, I have a set of 18” rims that I can include with the car but they are in need of a rechromed and one rim has curbed and needs repair. The tool kit is complete. It still has the connection for the LA Cellular phone, the first aid kit is even complete! The car needs minor cosmetic work on the passenger side (it is very minor you can’t even see it in the picture). I am asking $5000.00 obo... no low ballers and no whiners!
I going to say this now, don’t call me if you want to him and haw or extole to me the horrors of 635 with an automatic, as ANY factory issues have already been addressed either by the replacement of a complete transmission or by the major service of same said transmission.
