i have a 93 Z28 with a 4L60 Transmission its not electronic , anyway i was wondering if i put in a 4L60E transmission in my car if it would work, and if it would , would there be some computer upgrading i would need to do , b/c i cannot use the powerprogrammer b/c my computer is not hooked to the current transmission in the car. and if i did the computer upgrade if i would be able to get the powerprogrammer to work with my upgraded computer? thanks alot for your help

that is an excellent question, im sure you could, at the very least, find an electronic tranny that has a stand alone controller...

Yeah, I have a one in my car, it's a piece of shit after 100000, just letting you know so you don't get a used/rebuild, go new

im sure you could do the swap but why would you want to. why do you want to go with the electronic one, its just more of a hassle. the only reason i can think of is so you can change the caracteristics of the tranny witht he flip of a switch, but you can just build a non eletronic tranny to work the way you want and then you dont have to worry about the electronic part of it.

Electronic is nice if you change setups alot
