To my humble understanding the only W platform car that GM allowed to pass the 115mph mark was the oldsmobile aurora and that is why the OEM tire speed rating was higher and the disks/pads were bigger. I understand that the W platform stock will got up to 115mph and I have been able to push my 98 to 148mph. So I guess the 2004 GTP with more horsys under the hood OEM, better intake and better exahust than mine could easly get to the 150mph.

stock 126mph if it is a GTP, then with an after-PCM you can go on up there above 140mph stock. -Wouldn't advise however :)

I've had my '98 to 128 (that was the HUD reading). What pcm is recommended?

I'm waiting on my dhp v.1 pcm now, I will let you know how the car reacts to it.
