s13 KA Fuel Pressure Release?Grenyaer 07-28-2004, 01:41 PM Is there a way to release fuel pressure without starting the car? The manual says to remove the fuel pump fuse then start the car until it stalls, then crank it a few times to release pressure. But most of my motor is taken apart and it doesn't run at the moment. I need to release the pressure so I can disconnect the lines, cause the motor is coming out. Any ideas on a simpler way then to put the motor back together completly just to start it once...? Thanks yall. S13 Charlie 07-29-2004, 12:46 AM Can't you simply de-pressurize the system by opening the gas cap? Or do you also need to depressurize further down the line? drifter1283 07-29-2004, 06:24 PM or you can just pull the lines and cover your eye a bit of fuel will come out at you but youll be ok =D R.W.240 07-29-2004, 09:21 PM who cares Gasoline fights are fun... ala Zoolander :lol2: Chuki_breath 07-29-2004, 09:41 PM yea wear some goggles and CLOSE your mouth!!! shit is nasty. rps13freak 07-29-2004, 09:56 PM sounds fun. Grenyaer 07-30-2004, 01:55 PM I ended up just cutting the line that leads from the filter to the rail since it was completly stuck on there. The car had been sitting for like 2 weeks and there wasn't much pressure, but definitely wear some goggles and have a rag ready. o-) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
