Maybe it's just the bulb for the display.
If the overdrive still works, you'd still be fine.

its not the bulb for the display, because at high speeds when i press overdrive the engine rev is still very high.

There's an electric solenoid that controls overdrive.
Check wiring connections on the transmission case.
