Hi all, I have a question about Coil springs for my car. My car has Hicas suspension. I bought a new pair of stock springs for it. I just looked in my 240sx service manual and I see that the length of the springs for Hicas and non-Hicas 240's is different (Non-Hicas springs are slightly longer, these are the ones I bought). Front Non-Hicas springs are 13.78" long while the Hicas springs are 13.23" long (about 1/2" shorter). The Rear Non-Hicas spring is 15.16" long while the Hicas spring is 14.47" long (about 3/4" shorter). Are the slightly longer springs going to case problems when I put them on??? Will they fit??? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

I don't see why they wouldnt fit....

same suspensions, especially in the front for a hicas/regular 240sx. Maybe they made the hicas with a little lower stance from the factory, first I've heard of it but not an impossibility...specially with two different lengths of OEM springs

Yeah, I didn't know that there where 2 different length stock springs either but, I looked in my service manual and they give 2 different length's ("free length" as they state it in the manual). One for Non-Hicas and one for Hicas susp.. I didn't think it would be a problem because the difference in spring lengths is so small, but thought I'd post this thread anyways because I know alot of you guys really know your shit. I still kinda wonder why Nissan would make 2 different spring lengths.

if anything you might get a little bit lower....which is always sexy looking...since stock 240's look like they have a damn 4wd lift kit or some shit.....
