suspension>>shocks recommendationkonnix 07-26-2004, 02:18 AM Hi, my '94 Civic is overdue for shock-replacement but I don't know which brand is good. The car is dropped with GroundControl adjustables. I just want to have a smooth ride (hehe). So please help. Thanx. eckoman_pdx 07-26-2004, 02:20 AM Koni Yellows are good shocks, since you are looking for just new shocks. If you are looking for a whole new suspension, look into an entry level tuned suspension like the H&R cup-kit or the Tein Basic Damper. konnix 07-26-2004, 02:40 AM Those are a bit pricey. I am looking for the ones available in AutoZone or Pepboys. eckoman_pdx 07-26-2004, 03:14 AM Those are a bit pricey. I am looking for the ones available in AutoZone or Pepboys. Do you want something qaulity that will last or the same crap that will blow. You get the sh*t they sell at a pep boys or auto zone, then it doesn't matter what you buy. They will blow out soon and handle like shit. With suspension don't cut corners, you get what you pay for. If you want a GOOD BRAND THAT WILL LAST, get Koni Yellows. If you want something that pep-boys or autozone sells, it doesn't really matter, becuase it's not going to really be good for a lowered app anyways. PM jackasssi, he knows a ton about suspension, though I suspect you'll get the same anywasy from him. It's really a matter or priorites. DO I want to save and buy something good? The get Koni yellows. If you want to get the crap from autozone or pep boys, then they will blow out quickly and you'll be in the same predicant you are in now, spending more money soon. Pay now or payu later. If you can't afford something good, dave till you can. Don't buy the cheap crap they have at pep-boys or autozone. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
