10-4 for a radio check...Lowvic 07-26-2004, 01:30 AM Here is the problem...when i took out my dash a couple of weeks ago. i had to remove my radio...so i disconected the (color coated) wires and pulled it out... When i put it back in it worked fine for about a min and just quit( like a short happened or something)... i think two of the un-taped wires may have touched. Anyone no what the problem may be? Glass fuse? -charlie i_a_n112784 07-26-2004, 12:54 PM If you think wires touched, then definately check fuses. Lowvic 07-27-2004, 01:26 AM there are two glass fuses for the radio, one is 5A 250v, and the other is 0.5A 250v. Where could i get these? Do i have to use the same number, for ex: 15A 250v or does it have to be 0.5A 250v? -Charlie Geeko 07-27-2004, 01:48 AM you can get them at nearly any auto parts store or RadioShack. the amperages MUST be the same, and if you have a choice you are looking for "fast acting" or "fast blow" fuses, but the voltage just has to say at least 12 volts. it can be more, i.e. 115 or 220 volts. take the old fuses with you to make sure you have the right physical sizes. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
