I almost have my gsx in running order but one thing that still needs to be replaced is the front right axle. I checked the local parts houses and one says they can get one but it is a special order it will take over a week to get it and that it is $75, that is the only one that I can find. But one of my friends has a 1g gsx that he isnt driving anymore, so I was wondering if an axle out of a 1g will work in my 2g. Thanks in advance for any input.

Sorry to bump, but does anyone think that it could be a possibility and if it is even worth the time of pulling the 1g to compare to my old one? I was thinking that they might be the same because the engine will swap into the 2g and the axles match up with the engine, but I didnt know if the lengths were different...

You keep the tranny that goes with the car when doing a motor swap. But then again, someone local just put a 2g tranny in a 1g, and I'm sure they used the 1g axle. I'd give it a shot, I think theres a decent chance it may work out.
