sulfer/gas smellrico_law78 01-31-2002, 03:57 PM fellas...... my 91 g20 has been smellin' like sulfur for a while now (almost a year!) i took it to a shop awhile back, they said it was the catalytic converter. then i took it back the next day to get it fixed and they said -hey, now there's nothing wrong with your car......they said maybe it's the gas i was usin..... so anyways, now my car's startin' to smell like gas too.... this just started about 2 months ago. btw, i didn't pass emissions a while ago (barely) but the guy gave me the sticker anyway. could this be it??? any suggestions on what it is and about how much it would cost to get it fixed????? thanks! ricardo kenchan 02-01-2002, 01:35 PM get it checked again...before you die from carbon monoxide. gas does make a difference in the sulfer smell, but it should only be the sulfer smell, not gas. for the sulfer smell, i had the computer re-setted. rico_law78 02-01-2002, 03:14 PM hey thanks for the reply, but exactly what computer did you get restarted??? ricardo kenchan 02-02-2002, 12:32 AM on the bill, it said ecm. after that setup, no more sulfer smell dispite wat gas I put in it. also, the 02 sensor on my new p11 was bad too. got that replaced as well. jayntguru 02-07-2002, 05:48 PM There's a recall for early G20's for a problem with the gas filler. That sould be your gas smell. Call the dealer and give them your VIN and let them check and see. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
