Car Design Schools?Ion Pulse 07-24-2004, 06:32 AM Do you know of any universities which run courses which specialize in car design?? GAMsALeh 07-24-2004, 07:13 AM There's Coventry uni, which is like the leading one in the world, then there is London's Royal College of Art, which is also good... You wanna study car design? :) Ion Pulse 07-24-2004, 09:55 AM Yep, I've always wanted to do that. Thanx 4 the help  GTmike400 07-24-2004, 01:08 PM Art Center College of Design, definately a premier design school. bonzelite 07-25-2004, 12:52 AM yes. Art Center in Pasadena, CA. it is about fifteen minutes from my house. very expensive, though. about 40 thousand dollars for two years. tokes99 07-25-2004, 10:43 AM ^^^for that reason i hear that many people will go to another school to get their design degree, and go there for that crash course in transport design which is probably easier on the wallet. bonzelite 07-25-2004, 12:02 PM good idea. i would avoid art center unless absolutely necessary. once in a while, while out on jobs, i get the question "hey, did you go to art center?" and i take it as a compliment sort of. i then say "no, i couldn't afford it. i'm just a self-taught redneck from georgia." Auburn (my other choice) is $21,000 a year for out of state. The cool thing is that its only 45 miles away from Foose Design. What is it with you and Chip Foose? BTW, I like your new title, sounds like a hot-rod planned parenthood agency. :p I was looking at Coventry a while back, but its more of a school to go to after youve completed for years somewhere else. Like, just to get a high degree in auto design. I would love to go there though. Im currently looking at the Art Institute of Colorado, and the Academy of Art College. Im looking for good Graphic Design programs. GTmike400 07-25-2004, 01:14 PM What is it with you and Chip Foose? I dont know. I definately admire him, and his work. Everytime I watch overhaulin I get chills. Yes all that sounds corny so who cares. I normally dont really like the really popular people, but this is an exception. BTW, I like your new title, sounds like a hot-rod planned parenthood agency. :p Lucky Seven Conception was a proposed name for my hot rod shop, sound good to you? KustmAce 07-25-2004, 01:40 PM Lucky Seven Conception was a proposed name for my hot rod shop, sound good to you? I know it was, is it the one you chose? HighOctaneNOSUser 07-26-2004, 10:26 AM That sounds pretty cool Mike, I think that you have found a winner! GTmike400 07-26-2004, 10:52 AM Ok, I just had to change the title of the thread because it was getting annoying. Everytime I walk in here I forget what the thread was about, so I get to open it up again. gemini_car_design 07-27-2004, 03:21 AM Art Center College of Design, definately a premier design school. um.....go to cardesignnews.com and have a blast...because you must be famished GTmike400 07-27-2004, 12:12 PM um.....go to cardesignnews.com and have a blast...because you must be famished I never said it was the only car design school... gnasha 08-03-2004, 04:34 AM Went I was in Design school, one of my colleague went to the Sbarro school in Switzerland the year after.
