I have a 1997 blazer that came with the tow package. It has the flat 4 pin connector with 6 wires on it. There is no power coming from it on any trailers I tow. Is there a fuse for this somewhere? Is it in the fusebox or is it an inline fuse, and where is it? If it is in the fusebox, which fuse would it be? Or could it be something else? Thanks for the help. It used to work a few years ago.

My '97 Blazer came with the harness also, but not the plug on the end of it. I installed it myself. As I recall, there isn't an in-line fuse, so if your tail lights and brake/directional lights work, you must have a broken or corroded wire in your harness. If your lights aren't working, check the fuse for the tail lights. Also, check the plug end of the harness for corrosion on the plug pins (greenish crud). Clean them up with a wire brush or something similar and try again. If all that fails, check the wires where the plug connects to the harness for broken/corroded connections.
Good Luck,
Mike
