Can anyone tell me what kind of gas mileage I should expect on a 2002 Ram 1500 with a 5.9 ltr V-8?

12-19 mpg probably.

I get 14mpg in a 1500 4x4 with the 5.9. That is mostly highway, averaged out over 40000 miles. I added a K&N, but I did not percieve any difference.

Dad has one with a bed cover and a K&N and at 55 he gets about 15 and at 70 he gets about 12.5. Dosen't seem right.

It is a 2002 with a 5.9.

i have a 2000 2500 4x4 with same engine. I get 9 city and 13 highway....

I get 11/14 MPG on my 96 1500 5.9. The window sticker said I should be getting 12/17

i have a 2001 5.9 it gets 12mi on highway on a good day and if im pulling my horse trailer i get 4mbg.my first and last dodge.im going back to chevy they get 18-20mpg on highway and pulling my trailer i got 15mpg.just my opinion.
