P10 HesitationCanadianG 01-30-2002, 08:31 PM Anyone else own a p10 that seems to hesitate or misfire through driving range at about 2500 rpm? It kinda feels like the car is stumbling or stuttering than it starts to pull away after 3000+?? What is the cause? Any solutions? zykotik 01-30-2002, 09:03 PM Mine does that but only when the engine is warmed up. Not sure whats causing it yet, I was going to remedy the situation by gettin a DET in there :) Fabius 01-31-2002, 12:16 AM yeah boys that might be your tranny actin up.. it happen to mah dad Pontiac Tempest as soon as the engine was worm da car would start actin up if he drove it in 1 or 2 it was good but OD never worked smooth Im so sorry to fear that about your cars CanadianG 01-31-2002, 12:35 AM is a 5spd manual and I just bought a new tranny. I just wanted to know if there was a solution T4 Primera 01-31-2002, 03:10 AM Here's the place to start: http://www.se-r.net/engine/troubleshooting_guide/index.html Problems with surge and hesitation between 1500 - 3000 rpm? It may be your egr system has blockages and needs cleaning out. Just go to the link above and follow your nose. There is a very good procedure in there with pics. ;) radicalG20 01-31-2002, 02:27 PM I can almost guarantee it is the EGR valve. The same thing happened to my p10 a couple of years ago. I put on a new EGR valve and it solved everything. ishydaflip 02-01-2002, 01:04 PM i guarantee you that it is your distributor cap and rotor OR your spark plug wires...I had the same problem and it drove me crazy trying to figure out what the problem was. Look to see if there is BLUE corrosion around the cap and rotor or on the spark plug wires. If there is, there is the root of your problem... If this isn't the problem, check the se-R site...but im almost sure its that kpw97 02-01-2002, 01:28 PM Have you replaced your pcv valve lately? nis.k.a. 02-01-2002, 09:15 PM It's your EGR. Clean it and the passage ways. ty423 02-09-2002, 01:52 AM yeah if you never changed plug wires I think its about time..same with plugs and cap and rotor.. ricecube77 02-13-2002, 08:49 PM How would one go about removing the EGR on a highport (94') P10? -Phil vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
