Anyone else own a p10 that seems to hesitate or misfire through driving range at about 2500 rpm? It kinda feels like the car is stumbling or stuttering than it starts to pull away after 3000+??
What is the cause?
Any solutions?

Mine does that but only when the engine is warmed up.

Not sure whats causing it yet, I was going to remedy the situation by gettin a DET in there :)

Here's the place to start:
http://www.se-r.net/engine/troubleshooting_guide/index.html

Problems with surge and hesitation between 1500 - 3000 rpm? It may be your egr system has blockages and needs cleaning out. Just go to the link above and follow your nose. There is a very good procedure in there with pics. ;)

I can almost guarantee it is the EGR valve. The same thing happened to my p10 a couple of years ago. I put on a new EGR valve and it solved everything.

i guarantee you that it is your distributor cap and rotor OR your spark plug wires...I had the same problem and it drove me crazy trying to figure out what the problem was. Look to see if there is BLUE corrosion around the cap and rotor or on the spark plug wires. If there is, there is the root of your problem...

If this isn't the problem, check the se-R site...but im almost sure its that

It's your EGR. Clean it and the passage ways.

How would one go about removing the EGR on a highport (94') P10?
