88 S10 Blazer 4x4 4.3 TBI ProblemSynister 07-17-2004, 07:00 PM I have Changed the Fuel Pump Fuel Filter And Cleaned the TBI with removing the injectors. My Problem is that My Injectors stop firing randomly. Sometimes they fire fine other times they just fire, then stop, then fire, then stop. It only Stalls the Motor during this if Im at a idle.. I removed the fuel Lines and turned on the key and the fuel Pump is working fine. It is moving Fuel. Im lost now on what to try next. When the injectors are firing it runs perfect.. Does anyone have a clue what to try next.. Pewter'01SS 07-18-2004, 02:51 PM This could be caused by the ignition module or the pick-up coil going bad. It is very common for these to go bad, but ( from what I've seen) they usually just go out, not come and go before they just die. Stupid question but did you chase all the wires around the engine (i.e. the wires going to the pick-up coil, ign. mod., injectors, etc.) You might have one cracked or something. Synister 07-19-2004, 02:27 PM I rebuilt the TBI. During this I found alot of water inside the TBI unit. I have drained the fuel tank and refilled it. Im now assuming Ill need to buy new injectors as I believe the water might have fouled then quite badly.. Sence waiting on a Holey 502-7 Replacement TBI Synister 07-20-2004, 08:05 PM No water. Drained Tank got new TBI. Still doing it. If the Ignition was misfiring would that cause the Injectors to fire in spurts? TuckerR1980 07-20-2004, 11:23 PM if you give it gas does it still fire in spurts or does it work fine? Synister 07-21-2004, 09:47 AM If I give it gas while its doing this it does nothing. No higher RMP or anything. It wont allow more gas to flow. So It still spurts wehswarriorS-10 07-22-2004, 02:06 AM could be ur IAC valve, or TPS sensor, or MAP sensor.....
