McLaren F1 LM progressSccrplyr06 07-14-2004, 03:47 PM I just started on this one yesterday. Since it's summer and so theres no school, I don't see the normal people who I ask for tips. Any suggestions that you may have, tell me. Everything will help. http://img31.exs.cx/img31/7532/lmdrawing003.jpg GAMsALeh 07-14-2004, 04:24 PM That's amazing! Looking great so far. Can't wait for an update. BTW, I LOVE THOSE HEADLIGHTS!!! :D :) SeCrEtMoDdEr 07-14-2004, 05:23 PM astounding. looks very good, did you use a grid? oh whats the black outline thing on the right mirror. on the top of it, is that supposed to be there? looks good mango, keep up the meat salad. HighOctaneNOSUser 07-14-2004, 05:44 PM Very well proportioned. Looks great...But you really should use more contrast in your shading, and that left headlight needs to curve down a bit more on the top....but I am nit picking.... Sccrplyr06 07-14-2004, 10:42 PM Thanks for the all the compliments. I'll keep you updated as I go. I drew this freehand, but I did use a method to get a couple of points for reference. The black outline above the right mirror is supposed to be there, its like a plastic edging. Unfortunately I have a crappy scanner and so it doesn't pick up as much of the contrast that there truely is, but I know I could use some more contrast. The part that isn't shaded is not exact and I will be changing that headlight. Keep the comments coming. SeCrEtMoDdEr 07-15-2004, 12:29 AM I drew this freehand, but I did use a method to get a couple of points for reference. . what method is that... well, looks really cool, and i cant wait for updates. bonzelite 07-15-2004, 03:33 AM kick ass. Ra_15 07-15-2004, 04:57 AM Looks really good, the shading's nice and smooth and the proportions are spot on! Keep the good work up. Sccrplyr06 07-15-2004, 02:15 PM SeCrEtMoDdEr- Its the same as using these- http://www.artstuff.net/proportional_dividers.htm but instead I just use a compass and alittle math. GAMsALeh 07-15-2004, 02:20 PM Woah! they sure are expensive. But sound really usefull. :) Sccrplyr06 07-16-2004, 01:42 AM Heres another update. Just finished the second headlight, but I still have some touching up to do on that and also the rest of the car. Going pretty good so far I think. http://img14.exs.cx/img14/6820/lmdrawing006.jpg GoManGo 07-16-2004, 01:54 AM Outstanding! bonzelite 07-16-2004, 04:11 AM kicking more ass. Ra_15 07-16-2004, 04:15 AM Looking good! Nice to see a front view drawing for a change. Sccrplyr06, are you going to enter my comp? SeCrEtMoDdEr 07-16-2004, 11:46 AM beautiful... i like...is there any way you can make the front grill vent things pure black? or did the scanner just lighten it up. Sccrplyr06 07-16-2004, 02:16 PM beautiful... i like...is there any way you can make the front grill vent things pure black? or did the scanner just lighten it up. The scanner did lighten them up, but once I am done I always go over the black spots to get them as dark as I can. Ra_15- I'm thinking of entering it, just matters if I have the time to do it. I'll have a try at it though. stuffbyalex 07-17-2004, 02:36 PM wow! awesome job. I'm really impressed with the shading and the proportions. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
