Who makes the better 4wd drive truck these days? And who gives the best bang for you dollar? Has Detroit improved in the last 10 years? What about the last five?

detroit for sure. as a person who has carried many"a"cargo i would deffinately say detroit. looks better, rides better, pulls better, better engine. the list goes on. you really cant beat it for trucks. there are only a select few who come close from japan.

Detroit automakers have really improved their quality over the last several years. Though (in general) Toyota and Honda are still the leaders. When it comes to trucks though, the US manufacturers are still the industry leaders.

Dodge and Ford have the truck market under control, GM makes lame trucks in comparison.

However Toyota trucks will always be the most reliable, just ask all those African farmers with thier 1 million Km+ Hiluxes...

It largely depends on what you intend to do with the truck. GM full size trucks are the most car like, and the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks are really the only ones worth looking at if you have to work. Dodge and Ford own the towing category, but GM is right up there with them with the Isuzu built Duramax motor. If I had my choice, It would be a Cummins Dodge 4x4. :)

maybe in italy the tundra is a big ol workhorse, or if you put it next to a "ute" in austrialia(sorry bout spelling) it would look like a tough truck, put it next to any fullsize american truck or the titan it looks like a car.

when it comes to trucks its gotta be detroit, import trucks arent up to par with detroit. and the titan is a piece of crap, do a little research, there have been nothing but complaints, the thing falls apart right off the lot. and as for toyota making the most dependable trucks, i dont agree at all, the old 22r was the one engine that ran circles around all the competition but since then theyve fallen apart just like every other truck.

no, sorry i shoulda been more clear, the 22r is the engine that was used in the 80s (2.4L) in the celicas, pickups and 4runners. one of the longest lasting engines out there. and as far as over all durability of toyota, my friends 4 runner has completely fallen apart, the only thing that still works is the engine.

im still confused which pickups 4x4???? is it a 4cyl or a 6cyl im guessing its a 6cyl

i would definitly say detroit makes way better trucks. i hear that the toyota trucks are beasts, but not as good as the ole U.S of A trucks.

I just love the F250 with a lift and that Diesel sound I think it looks better then the silverado
