Who bought the Rockhopper Gears?
Schludwiller 05-19-2001, 01:12 PM I remember a while back when EOE was doing the group pricing on Rockhoper 3.658:1 gears they had 6 or 7 Xterra owners signed up. So who bought them? Anyone we know? FSRBIKER 05-21-2001, 09:43 AM I can check with Todd A as he was taking the names down, my set was at the place Rockhopper uses to specially harden the gears and was due to ship once Liam got them back. Then I will install them and make sure there are no problems(fit) with the US versions of the transfer cases, after that we can all have some serious crawling power. YIKES. :( FSRBIKER 05-23-2001, 03:13 PM Think about what you spent on lights, the ARB, a CO2 tank, roof rack, etc...all of these will not improve your off road capability like crawler gears will. Schludwiller 05-23-2001, 03:25 PM So here is a question. Which one? Rear ARB locker, or RockHopper gears? Yes, I know people would like both, but I'm starting to think I might want the lower gearing before a locker. Oh, and where did you see them for $1000? That's why I'm going to sell all that stuff. :bonghitte Philosopher 05-23-2001, 03:48 PM Originally posted by Schludwiller Oh, and where did you see them for $1000? Oops, I meant $1500 + xoc 06-15-2001, 12:08 AM Can I ask a dumb question ? Why does Rockhopper want $1500 for 2 gears ? A brand new Tera Low transfer case (the whole thing) can be had for less than that.
