Lookin For a Car That Meet These SpecificationsKG2325 07-11-2004, 12:27 AM Sporty guy car, as in, not eclipses. Under or around 10k with good gas mileage, reasonable insurance, and a manual transmission. Something like a prelude or integra becuase i have been lookin at those 2 lately and seem to like them thanks, KG Z_Fanatic 07-11-2004, 12:59 AM you're a manual guy, I like your style. But in my standards, manual tranny and fwd cars don't do justice. kman10587 07-11-2004, 01:33 AM Well, most of the good gas mileage, low insurance cars tend to be FWD. There is always the 300ZX and the 240SX, though. :) Z_Fanatic 07-11-2004, 02:14 AM can you do burnouts on fwd cars? kman10587 07-11-2004, 02:21 AM Who really cares? He's looking for a practical but sporty daily driver, not a performance vehicle. Z_Fanatic 07-11-2004, 02:44 AM no really, that was a question directed to you, not a rhetorical question. I also drive a fwd car, it handles great below 90mph range, and good daily driver, it'll get you from point a to b, even with engine malfunction. But in terms of performance and fun level, I got jealous of Mustangs, which is sad. And that's why I also bought a Z32. manual tranny with rwd, :D you can glide on the ooomph and speed. with the t-tops dettached, it's euphoric. as for the KG2325, get a 240sx or accord coupe. kman10587 07-11-2004, 02:55 AM Prelude VTEC and Integra GS-R are better than Accord coupe IMO... Z_Fanatic 07-11-2004, 02:59 AM too many out there, hate the rice flavor. but whatever floats your boat, subjective. kman10587 07-11-2004, 03:34 AM Eh, they fit his criteria perfectly. I suppose an Accord coupe would work as well, though. Wolf 07-11-2004, 06:32 AM 1st gen Neon RT or ACR. Or an Integra GSR. CougKid3030 07-11-2004, 04:22 PM ... you can do burn outs in ANY car dude. I Personally drive a 70's RWD Buick which can light 'em up, but we got my friends 75 hp Ford pickup to do a burn out, and I've done them in countless FWD cars. I'd suggest a VTECH prelude or a 240... even an SI lude if you dont want to spend more. But you can get a pretty built VTECH lude for like 7,000, and thats with heads exhaust intake etc... plus its a 4 seat car (Though it sucks to sit in the back) for insurance purposes, so it wont cost all that much. kman10587 07-11-2004, 04:27 PM Yeah, my top 3 picks would be a 92-96 Prelude VTEC, 94-01 Integra GS-R, and 89-93 240SX SE hatchback 91300zxtt 07-11-2004, 05:00 PM why not try an acura legend coupe not 4 door. those are some sweet lookin cars. imo too many ppl now have integras, but if you like them go for it Z_Fanatic 07-11-2004, 11:58 PM ... you can do burn outs in ANY car dude. Tell me how to do burnout with an auto tranny? Because I tried to go from neutral to drive, and in that same second, pushed the gas, and instead of squealing it as I done before, it jerked like the front end axle was going to break-off. So, far as I've done burnouts, it's always been with my Z32. kcap122 07-12-2004, 12:40 AM i dont believe you can do burnouts on an automatic UNLESS you get a handbrake installed to control only your back brakes. Z_Fanatic 07-12-2004, 12:43 AM wait, how the hell is that plausible. my friends with auto tranny on their RWD cars done it. Andydg 07-12-2004, 12:52 AM My buddy does burnouts in his Saturn SL all the time. He just cranks the wheel all the way to the right and floors it. He gets a good amount of smoke and leaves a nice patch. Oh and how the hell is an Eclipse not a guys' car??? kcap122 07-12-2004, 01:12 AM my standards for a burnout are diff than everyone else i guess, i dont count doin donuts as burnouts. Z_Fanatic 07-12-2004, 01:34 AM ya, i wasn't talking about donuts, just the launch. CougKid3030 07-12-2004, 05:07 AM ... do you people even drive? My AUTOMATIC RWD car can spin them like there is no tomorrow... its called (Now you ricers listen up) ... TORQUE! I've laid 60+ foot patches in a parking lot, and in the same automatic car I've done a controlled burnout in a parking stall for almost 30 seconds, and I'm rolling like 180 horsepower... http://home.comcast.net/~cougrrr/apolloburnout.jpg Z_Fanatic 07-12-2004, 10:32 AM aye, lacking in brain matter. :disappoin kenwood guy 07-15-2004, 01:57 AM ya, i wasn't talking about donuts, just the launch. can you do donuts in a FWD car ??? 91300zxtt 07-15-2004, 03:18 AM can you do donuts in a FWD car ??? yes you can do doughnuts in a FWD car, you can do anything with spinning wheels in circles or make smoke with any car. kman10587 07-15-2004, 03:43 PM My Camry can do sick donuts...in reverse. Can't lay any rubber in my mom's 4-cylinder Camry, though. CougKid3030 07-16-2004, 02:36 AM E-Brake! Its not like you need it anyway, who cares if it wears out.... kman10587 07-16-2004, 04:36 PM I tried, won't work. Either I'm doing it wrong, or the Camry e-brakes are weak (probably both!) DinanM3_S2 07-16-2004, 09:10 PM Gotta go with an E36 325is. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
