Can this be done, ive found many 96 spoilers that i like but cannot find any in 92-95. Are the trunks the same width?

no the 96 one will not fit the 5th gen civics bc the 96 spoiler is wider

You dont need a spoiler. lower your sh*t make it a sleeper dont do to much on the out side. unless u are going all show...good luck man if u do go with one do go to big u had the right idea with the 96 but it wont work.
