2000 Century 'Lo Trac" light when hot

I'm driving 75-80 MPH through the desert all is fine. Its 105 degrees outside. I come to a slight uphill grade and after a while the temp gauge registers a very slight increase as you may expect, but nowhere near dangerous. After climbing the hill for a couple of minutes, the lo trac light begins flickering then comes on solid. I'm still running in overdrive and the trans never downshifted. It may have come out of lockup, but this is normal. After I'm over the top of the grade for a couple of minutes, the light begins flickering again then goes out. The temp gauge has also dropped back to its normal reading. I read the owner's manual about how the traction control feature is supposed to work, and expect something is malfunctioning.... But What?? No ECC. No codes either..
Has anyone seen this before? Any Ideas?
