Canadian vs. Japanese Metros

Going out on a limb here: does the workmanship on Japanese manufactured Metros seem better than the Canadian made ones? Just seems to me the 90-93 convertibles and 89 Metros hold up better in terms of interior and things of the like. My biggest complaint is the door jamb sensors that make the dome light come on when the door is opened. Canadian made Metro models from 90-94 NEVER have a door jamb sensor that works enless it has been replaced with a new one, but 89 Metro models and all of the convertibles never have this problem. Just a rant I guess, but has anyone else noticed this?

Well, I'm not sure why that is. I did notice my convertibles never really had that problem either. But my 93' metro hatchback's door sensors were all busted. Could be the better parts they used at the Japan plant vs the Cami plant.
