Hello,

I have a 1995 Ram 2500 4x4 with a 360 engine. While idling, it will slowly die. I had a OTC scanner on it and you can see that the IAC is slowly opening up all the way for what appears to be no good reason. As the IAC opens, you can hear it opening. It sounds like a vacuum leak that gets louder. When the IAC starts to open the engine starts to run rough till it dies. The oxygen sensor and IAC have been replaced and from viewing the results of the OTC scanner, I can find nothing wrong with any other sensor. Can someone help me with this matter? It is really annoying. :banghead:

Thank you in advance!

Pre-cat O2 sensor? clogged air intake? EGR clogged? Bad intake air sensor?

May not throw you the right codes, especially if its temp related.

But this is just a guess...:)

Hey, that's a good one, haven't seen that in quite a while. But I agree it'll make the IAC go wacky. so will a vacuum leak at the power brake booster....

Oh, and welcome to both of you to AF !
