Operation 300whpCTD20 07-05-2004, 02:50 AM I'm looking for 300whp in my USDM MR2. Anyone got an upgrade path that has worked for them? As much stock drivability as possible MUST be retained. Use of JDM Toyota/TRD parts would be preferred. As much as I would like to swap in a complete JDM 3SGTE, I can't >> California smog (ugh). 'Preciate the help. CTD20 07-05-2004, 06:27 PM Thanx again for the info Draz. Next phase of the operation is chassis tuning. I'm looking for at least 1.0g on stock size (or a LITTLE bit bigger) tires along with complete predictability, drivability and as much of the stock ride comfort retained as possible. 'Preciate the help. JekylandHyde 07-06-2004, 10:07 AM I am a bit over 300 rwhp ... info on my car is on my site. Feel free to ask questions. :) CTD20 07-06-2004, 06:21 PM Hyde certainly is one fine Deuce. I checked out your mod lists and was interested in your suspension component choices. How those KYBs and H&Rs working out for you? I've heard very mixed reviews for both. I need my car to handle (pardon the trite expression) like its on rails. There are some great canyon runs around here, including the 9-mile Decker Canyon that empties into Malibu :grinno: JekylandHyde 07-06-2004, 06:26 PM I am quite pleased with the KYB/H&Rs ... I have them on both MR2s. Hyde also has the ST Sway bar set. How does it handle? ... well, I was the fastest car on street tires here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=250439 Enough handling for you? ;) CTD20 07-06-2004, 06:45 PM 'Preciate the help Hyde. Always nice to be able to get advice from someone who's been there. Oh, and anyone who needs an upgrade path should check out that site that Draz posted. These guys know their sh*t. www.mrcontrols.com vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
